Kentucky clerk jailed over her stance on gay marriage

Sharp Journal can authoritatively tell you that the now famous Kentucky clerk, Kim Davis, will be going to jail after her refusal to issue marriage licence to same sex partners (LGBT) earlier this week.

A US judge has ordered a Kentucky official jailed for contempt of court after she has repeatedly refused to issue marriage licences to gay couples.

Kim Davis, a clerk in Rowan County, has said her Christian beliefs prevent her from endorsing gay marriage.

The US Supreme Court declared gay marriage legal in June.

Davis, who has said she is obeying “God’s law,” has been taken into custody by US Marshalls.
